I just finished seven different flights in about a month. Four of them were around 9 hours in length. With these experiences freshly in mind, I’m honored to present:
Five People Who Annoy Me on Planes
1. The Rush-an. These people will knock over little old ladies to get on/off the plane first.
2. Cologne guy. They need to have a separate section for these people in the back of the plane.
3. B.O. guy. Put on some cologne. Seriously.
4. The Natural Lighter. The whole plane is dark. Except for one window. WHY won’t you use the overhead light to read? Do you not see people trying to sleep?
5. The Cell-Phone Addict. WHAT is so important? Turn off and put away the phone when they ask you to. And quit hiding it under the chair like you’re in 4th grade. And you are not the exception.
What annoys you about certain people on flights you've been on?

The exception thing drives me nuts...maybe because when I was in 4th grade, well way past then actually, I did believe I was the exception to every rule. Drives me nuts...did I mention that?
You know, when Tim and I were talking about these, I felt a bit guilty because I know there's a little bit of "Rush-an" in me. I'm quite aggressive when it comes to claiming overhead bin compartments or whatever. I don't THINK I've knocked over any little old ladies in the process, but still...
Katie, your comment reminded me that sometimes it's that part we dislike in ourselves that we can pinpoint and dislike so adamantly in others.
I thought of another one, too-- the person who wants to have a conversation with you when you'd rather be sleeping or having "introvert-time." I don't like to be rude, but sometimes I'm just not in the mood to chat, you know?? It's a difficult balance, for sure!

haha...I hear ya. Sometimes flying can be a pain! I try to focus on the end result...but those hours in between can be a little sketchy. :)
